LEGO 21172, The Ruined Portal, depicts a Minecraft scene connected with the Nether, including Steve and a Wither Skeleton. Released in 2021 in the Minecraft theme, the set contains 316 pieces and builds a compact ruined portal setting.

Set 21172 is part of the LEGO Minecraft theme and focuses on a ruined portal, a subject tied to travel between the main world and the Nether. The model uses the block-based visual language of Minecraft to create a self-contained scene rather than a generic structure.

The build centres on the portal structure, surrounding terrain and setting details that identify the scene as Minecraft while keeping the design compact.

It suits builders who want a small playable display from the Minecraft line. In a wider LEGO Minecraft collection, it can act as a thematic link between overworld builds and Nether-related scenes, while adding a specific Steve variant and a Wither Skeleton to the character selection.
