LEGO Star Wars 40557 Defense of Hoth

LEGO set 40557 Defense of Hoth represents a small Rebel defensive position on the icy planet Hoth within the Star Wars theme. Released in 2022, it contains 64 pieces and 3 minifigures focused on Rebel troops in cold weather uniforms.

Defense of Hoth belongs to the LEGO Star Wars range of sets connected with the Battle of Hoth. It does not depict a full base or large battlefield scene, but a compact Rebel defensive post. This makes it a supporting model for snowy displays, trench layouts or scenes inspired by The Empire Strikes Back.

The build uses 64 pieces and places much of its value on the included characters. The remaining parts provide a small setting and equipment to suggest a defensive position in the snow.

The set is aimed at collectors of Hoth Rebel minifigures, builders expanding a diorama and fans who want additional troops for play scenes. Within the Star Wars theme, it works best as a compact companion set, adding infantry and context rather than serving as a main vehicle or large display model.
