LEGO Technic 42002 Hovercraft

LEGO Technic set 42002, “Hovercraft”, is a 2013 model representing an air cushion vehicle in a compact Technic build.

Set 42002 “Hovercraft” brings an air cushion vehicle into the LEGO Technic range, a subject identified by its low stance and by a mode of travel different from ordinary road vehicles.

The build is focused on the vehicle itself rather than on characters or a narrative setting. As a Technic model, its main interest lies in the assembled structure, the proportions of the craft, and the way the parts convey the subject in a mechanical building style.

This set suits builders who want a compact Technic vehicle with a clearly defined subject. It can be displayed on its own or placed alongside other Technic transport models. Compared with more familiar cars, trucks, or construction machines, the hovercraft theme gives it a distinct position within the Technic assortment.
