LEGO Technic 42221 NASA Artemis Space Launch System Rocket

LEGO Technic set 42221, NASA Artemis Space Launch System Rocket, depicts NASA’s SLS rocket from the Artemis program. Released in 2026 under the Technic theme, it contains 632 pieces and presents a contemporary space launch vehicle through a technical building approach.

This set brings the Space Launch System into the LEGO Technic theme, where the build language emphasizes structure, assembly and mechanical presence rather than a character driven scene. The NASA and Artemis references come directly from the set name, placing the model within modern spaceflight subject matter.

With 632 pieces, the model appears intended as a compact vertical rocket build. Rebrickable lists 0 minifigures, so it should not be described as a minifigure based astronaut set. The French retail title refers to a separation function, a feature that fits the subject of a staged launch vehicle and can be noted from the supplied information.

The set is relevant for builders interested in space hardware, Technic construction and displayable real world inspired machines. Within Technic, it sits among models that translate recognizable vehicles or equipment into a functional building style. Its collection value comes from the NASA Artemis subject and the distinct silhouette of the SLS rocket.
