LEGO City 60023 City Starter Set

LEGO City 60023, City Starter Set, presents a mixed urban scene with public service roles, a civilian character and a criminal. Released in 2013 under the City theme, it includes 273 pieces and supports everyday role play in a LEGO town setting.

This set belongs to the LEGO City theme and takes a broad city life approach. Rather than focusing on a single building or one emergency service, it brings together police, fire, medical and civilian roles. That makes it a connecting set for different areas of a City layout.

The set contains 273 pieces and 5 minifigures. The line up includes a boy with a green jacket, short dark blue legs and a light bluish gray helmet, a fireman with an orange safety vest, radio, dark red helmet and goatee beard, a paramedic with a red jacket, red legs, blue cap and stubble, a policeman with a black jacket, radio, badge, white helmet and visor, and a criminal wearing a prison shirt marked 50380, dark bluish gray legs, matching hat, backpack and black eyemask.

City Starter Set is suited to builders who want to add people and incident based play to a LEGO city. It works for play because the roles are immediately readable, and it can also support displays by adding activity to streets or service areas. Within the City theme, it is best viewed as a supplementary set that links several urban subthemes.
