LEGO City 60178 Speed Record Car

LEGO City set 60178, Speed Record Car, depicts a car built around the idea of a speed record attempt. Released in 2018 under City, Traffic, it contains 78 pieces and belongs to the broader LEGO City range.

Speed Record Car presents a speed focused vehicle within LEGO City. Although it sits in the Traffic branch of the theme, the subject is not everyday road use but a racing style scene built around a driver and a record car. The Octan detail on the driver links the set to a recurring fictional brand in LEGO city settings.

The build is centered on a compact car with a clear speed theme, supported by the included driver.

This set is suited to adding a small racing or test scene to a LEGO City layout, as well as to collecting City vehicles and Octan related figures. It can be displayed as a standalone car or placed among other traffic themed sets. Within City, it functions as a specialized speed vehicle rather than a general road car.
