LEGO Ninjago 71793, Heatwave Transforming Lava Dragon, depicts a transforming lava dragon connected with the Dragons Rising setting. Released in 2023, this Ninjago set contains 479 pieces and focuses on ninja action, a central creature build, and opposing characters from the Imperium side.

Set 71793 is part of the Ninjago theme and belongs to the Dragons Rising period through its character selection. The main build is Heatwave, a transforming lava dragon. It follows a familiar Ninjago format, placing a large creature at the centre of the action with heroes and adversaries around it.

The model is built from 479 pieces and represents a mythical creature suited to action scenes. The set includes 5 minifigures: Imperium Claw Hunter, Kai - Dragons Rising, Lloyd - Dragons Rising Robes, Wyldfyre, and Lord Ras, Pearl Gold Shoulder Pads. The transformation feature is the clearest functional element stated by the set name.

This set suits play, display, and Ninjago collecting. As a display piece, the dragon can stand alongside other creature based models from the theme.
