LEGO Ninjago set 71822, Source Dragon of Motion, depicts a large dragon from the ninja world of the Ninjago theme. Released in 2024, it contains 1717 pieces and pairs the central creature build with characters from the same narrative setting.

Source Dragon of Motion belongs to the dragon focused side of the Ninjago theme. The main subject is a large dragon, a recurring creature type in the line and a natural focal point for scenes involving ninja heroes, allies and opponents. The set is therefore positioned as a story driven creature model rather than a vehicle or location.

The build uses 1717 pieces and is centred on a detailed dragon model.

This set is suited to Ninjago collectors who prioritise dragons and other large creatures, as well as builders looking for a display piece that can still support play. Within the theme, it sits among the dragon led releases, with its appeal shaped by the creature build and the included character selection.
