The model depicts the Mos Eisley cantina, a setting associated with encounters and tension in the Star Wars universe. Within the LEGO Star Wars theme, it provides a compact location build rather than a ship or vehicle, giving the included characters a clear narrative setting.

Its contents focus on characters and a built section of the cantina, with interior style elements implied by the subject of the model.

It is suited to story based play, especially scenes involving patrons, the bartender and an Imperial presence. It can also be displayed as a location model in a Star Wars collection.
