The model represents the Rebel base on Yavin 4, a location associated with the Rebel Alliance in the Star Wars saga. Within LEGO Star Wars, it is a location based set rather than only a starfighter, bringing together command, pilots, droids and Rebel personnel in one setting.

The set includes 1067 pieces and 12 figures. The lineup consists of Chewbacca, C-3PO, R2-D2, Luke Skywalker with medal, Han Solo with medal, Princess Leia in white dress, General Dodonna, R2-BHD, Dutch Vander, Garven Dreis, a Rebel Trooper and a Rebel Crew member. The Y-Wing and briefing room support scenes focused on mission planning, hangar activity and the aftermath of Rebel operations.

This set suits builders who want a recognizable Rebel Alliance environment with a broad figure selection.
