LEGO Harry Potter 76405 Hogwarts Express - Collectors' Edition

LEGO Harry Potter set 76405, Hogwarts Express - Collectors' Edition, depicts the Hogwarts Express as a collector focused model. Released in 2022, it belongs to the Harry Potter theme and uses 5139 pieces to represent the saga’s well known steam train.

Set 76405 has a distinct position within LEGO Harry Potter because it treats the Hogwarts Express as a display led collector model. The train is closely tied to journeys to Hogwarts, a recurring part of the licence, and the subject gives the set a clear identity within the theme.

The 5139 piece build focuses on the scale, outline and detailing of the steam train. The contents include 20 minifigures, with several versions of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, plus Remus Lupin, Draco Malfoy, a Dementor, the train conductor and the trolley witch. The different outfits connect the model to more than one moment from the story.

This set is best suited to Harry Potter collectors and builders looking for a substantial display piece. It can still support character based play, but its Collectors' Edition positioning places it closer to presentation models than to smaller scene based sets in the same theme.
