LEGO set 76940, T. rex Dinosaur Fossil Exhibition, is part of the Jurassic World theme and was released in 2021. It depicts an exhibition scene built around a T. rex fossil, with 198 pieces and 2 minifigures.

Set 76940 presents a T. rex fossil exhibition within the LEGO Jurassic World theme. Rather than focusing on a living dinosaur, the model uses a display setting connected to the franchise’s dinosaur subject matter. This gives it a museum-style role within the wider range.

The build is centered on the fossil and its exhibition context.

It suits Jurassic World collectors who want a different treatment of the T. rex theme, as well as builders looking for a small display scene. The included characters also support simple story play around a visit or investigation. Among Jurassic World sets, it stands apart because its dinosaur focus is fossil based, not centered on a live creature encounter.
