LEGO City 7942 Off Road Fire Rescue

LEGO set 7942, Off Road Fire Rescue, depicts an off road fire rescue vehicle within City, specifically under the Fire subtheme. Released in 2007, it contains 130 pieces and focuses on a mobile emergency response with 1 fireman.

Off Road Fire Rescue sits in the Fire branch of the City theme, focusing on a firefighting response away from ordinary paved streets. The model represents an off road rescue vehicle, a subject that fits naturally alongside fire stations, engines and emergency scenes in a LEGO city layout.

The build uses 130 pieces and presents a compact vehicle with a clear fire service role. The set includes 1 minifigure listed as “Fireman, Black Fire Jacket with Reflective Stripes, Radio, and Badge, Silver Helmet, Silver Sunglasses”. The figure description identifies the firefighter by a black jacket with reflective stripes, radio, badge, silver helmet and silver sunglasses.

This set suits builders who want to expand a City Fire scene with an additional response vehicle rather than a fixed structure. It works for play because the subject is direct and easy to place in emergency scenarios, and it also has collection value as a specialized vehicle. Within Fire sets, it broadens the range of rescue equipment.
