LEGO 80047, “Mei's Guardian Dragon”, depicts Mei’s guardian dragon within the Monkie Kid theme. Released in 2023, it contains 612 pieces and belongs to the action focused setting that reworks ideas from the Monkey King tradition.
The model focuses on Mei’s guardian dragon, placing a large creature at the centre of the Monkie Kid storyline. Within the theme, it fits the broader mix of heroes, villains, stylised builds and fantasy action drawn from a modern interpretation of the Monkey King legend.
The set contains 612 pieces and 4 named minifigures: Mei Power Up, Yellow Tusk Elephant, Ink General and Mr Tang Power-up. With no confirmed details here about specific play functions, the contents are best described as a character driven creature build supported by figures for conflict based scenes.
It suits Monkie Kid collectors and builders who want a displayable creature rather than a set led mainly by a vehicle. On its own, it works as a Mei focused model; alongside other Monkie Kid sets, it can help build out a wider scene with heroes, opponents and fantasy elements.
