LEGO Duplo 10972 Wild Animals of the Ocean

LEGO DUPLO 10972, Wild Animals of the Ocean, depicts an ocean animal scene with turtles in the DUPLO Town theme.

Wild Animals of the Ocean belongs to the Town branch of LEGO DUPLO, but its subject is a natural marine setting rather than a street or household scene. The set focuses on ocean wildlife, giving the DUPLO range a simple animal based environment within the wider Town classification.

The French retail title refers to sea animal figures and turtles, so the set can be described as a small ocean themed animal scene.

This set is best understood as a play focused animal pack for storytelling and for expanding DUPLO nature scenes. Among DUPLO Town sets, it stands apart because the emphasis is on marine animals and scenery, not on human characters or everyday town activities.
