LEGO Duplo 10978 Creative Building Time

LEGO DUPLO 10978, Creative Building Time, is an open ended building set released in 2022. It belongs to the Duplo theme, in the Basic Set category, and contains 120 pieces for simple, colourful constructions.

Creative Building Time sits within LEGO DUPLO as a general building assortment rather than a set based on a fixed scene. In the Duplo, Basic Set branch, it functions as a broad parts based box.

Building is therefore not centred on completing one specific model, but on arranging and rearranging DUPLO elements into changing constructions that can be taken apart and rebuilt easily.

This makes the set more suited to everyday play and parts expansion than to display. Within a DUPLO collection, it can support other sets by adding general construction material. It is best understood alongside similar Basic Set entries, where flexibility matters more than characters, scenery, or a defined subject.
