LEGO Technic 42179 Planet Earth and Moon in Orbit

LEGO Technic 42179, “Planet Earth and Moon in Orbit”, depicts Earth and the Moon as a buildable model focused on their orbital relationship.

Set 42179 brings an astronomy subject into the Technic theme. Rather than presenting a vehicle or a character based scene, it focuses on Earth and the Moon as a constructed representation of an orbital relationship.

Its appeal comes from how the subject is translated into a LEGO Technic build, not from figures or story accessories.

This set is suited to builders who want a display model with a science theme, or a Technic item that differs from the more common vehicles and machinery in the theme. It can sit naturally in a space or solar system collection, while still being catalogued as Technic. Its role is descriptive and educational in tone rather than narrative.
