LEGO Technic 42166 NEOM McLaren Extreme E Race Car

LEGO Technic 42166 depicts the NEOM McLaren Extreme E Race Car, a racing car model connected with McLaren and Extreme E. Released in 2024 under the Technic theme, it includes 252 pieces and no minifigures.

This set brings the NEOM McLaren Extreme E Race Car into the LEGO Technic range. Its subject is a competition vehicle with a named motorsport identity, presented in a theme known for structural building and functional play rather than minifigure scenes.

This set appears in our LEGO McLaren guide, which places it against the other versions.

The set contains 252 pieces and includes no minifigures. The French retail title describes it as a pull-back car toy, so that play feature can be treated as confirmed. Beyond that, the safest description is general: the build focuses on the vehicle shape, chassis and visible bodywork elements, without adding unverified claims about steering, suspension or cockpit detail.

It suits Technic car fans, builders looking for a compact model to handle, and collectors who follow licensed racing vehicles. Within the Technic theme, it sits among smaller race car builds, distinguished by its direct NEOM McLaren Extreme E reference rather than by a fictional vehicle design.
