LEGO City 60125 Volcano Heavy-Lift Helicopter

LEGO City set 60125, “Volcano Heavy-Lift Helicopter”, depicts a large transport helicopter for a volcano exploration team. Released in 2016, it belongs to the City theme and contains 1277 pieces for a scene built around field research and heavy-lift support.

The model places the action in the LEGO City world, but away from everyday streets and buildings. Its focus is a volcano exploration operation, with the heavy-lift helicopter acting as the main vehicle and as the link between transport, equipment handling and the work of the crew.

The set contains 1277 pieces and 8 minifigures. The team also includes an explorer in a flat silver hazmat suit, a female scientist in an open white lab coat and a character wearing a dark tan wide brim hat.

This set suits builders who want a substantial City vehicle supported by a broad cast of characters. It can be displayed as a large aviation model, but it is also clearly structured for role play and mission-based scenes. Within City, it occupies a more specialised place, focused on volcano research rather than regular urban services.
