LEGO City 60428 Space Construction Mech

LEGO City set 60428, Space Construction Mech, depicts a space construction robot with an astronaut and a drilling robot. Released in 2024 as part of City Space, it contains 140 pieces and fits the theme’s recent focus on exploration and technical work beyond Earth.

Space Construction Mech is part of the LEGO City Space line, presenting a construction task in a space setting rather than an externally licensed subject. Its premise connects naturally with City Space bases, vehicles and exploration scenes, where equipment and field work are central to the setting.

The selection frames the model as a small work crew, pairing a suited astronaut with a specialised robotic drilling unit.

It is suited to play scenarios involving building, maintenance or resource work in space, while also serving as a compact addition to a City Space display. Within the theme, it can act as support equipment alongside larger craft, habitats or exploration vehicles.
