LEGO Ninjago 70601 Sky Shark

LEGO Ninjago set 70601, Sky Shark, was released in 2016 and depicts a flying craft tied to the Skybound storyline. With 222 pieces and 2 minifigures, Flintlocke with Epaulettes and Lloyd (Skybound), it presents a compact action focused vehicle build.

Sky Shark belongs to the Ninjago theme and sits within the Skybound setting, where ninja characters face sky pirate opponents. The subject is a vehicle rather than a fixed location, which places it among the action oriented builds of the theme. It is designed around movement, pursuit and confrontation rather than environmental display.

The build focuses on the shape of the aircraft, keeping the model compact while clearly connected to the Ninjago visual language. The included characters provide a direct conflict between a pirate aligned figure and Lloyd, so the set can stand on its own for simple story scenes.

For collectors, Sky Shark is most relevant as a Ninjago vehicle and as a source of Skybound related figures. On display, it works as a smaller companion model among other vehicles from the theme. For play, the value lies in the immediate setup: a flying craft, an antagonist and a ninja, giving enough context for chases, attacks and brief character driven scenes.
