LEGO set 71360, Adventures with Mario Starter Course, is part of the Super Mario theme and was released in 2020. With 231 pieces, it introduces a buildable video game inspired play format, centred on an interactive Mario figure and a modular course.

This set has a foundational role in the Super Mario theme because it is designed less as a static display model and more as a playable construction system. It brings the idea of a configurable course into LEGO form, linking the licence to hands on building and repeated rearrangement.

Its main focus is the interactive Mario figure, used with buildable scenery and course modules.

It is best suited to builders who want to experience the Super Mario theme through play and course design. It can also be of interest to collectors because it represents the starting point of this style of LEGO Super Mario set. Compared with other sets in the same theme, it functions as a base around which further layouts or personal configurations can be organised.
