LEGO set 72050, Mario Kart: Luigi & Mach 8, depicts Luigi with the Mach 8 kart from the Super Mario universe. Rebrickable lists it for 2026 with 2234 pieces, under the Super Mario theme and the Nintendo license.

This model is based on Mario Kart, focusing on Luigi and the Mach 8. Within LEGO Super Mario, it sits as a vehicle led subject tied to a recognizable Nintendo character, rather than a course, play route, or general scene from the wider Super Mario setting.

The Rebrickable data supplied lists 2234 pieces and 0 minifigures. No named figures are therefore associated with the set in that source. The confirmed description supports a build centered on Luigi and his kart, without adding unverified functions, mechanisms, or accessory details.

Because of its subject and part count, the set is best understood as a display and collection model for LEGO Super Mario collectors, Nintendo fans, and builders interested in Mario Kart. In the context of the theme, it can be placed as a racing focused representation of a single character and vehicle, alongside other Super Mario sets that cover different characters or settings.
