LEGO Icons 10302 Optimus Prime

LEGO Icons set 10302, “Optimus Prime”, represents the Autobot leader as a brick built model.

Set 10302 brings Optimus Prime, a central character from the Transformers universe, into the LEGO Icons range. It sits among models based on recognizable cultural subjects, with an emphasis on the character’s appearance rather than on a generic truck or robot design.

The build creates the red and blue robot, with character related accessories such as the blaster, Energon axe and Matrix of Leadership. Its main functional feature is the ability to change between robot and truck form without fully taking the model apart.

This set is suited to display, collecting and careful handling, especially for builders interested in licensed mechanical subjects. Within Icons, it stands apart from realistic vehicles, buildings and decorative objects because its identity depends on the Transformers character and the integrated transformation.
