LEGO Exclusive 40505 Building Systems

LEGO set 40505 “Building Systems” is a 2024 LEGO Exclusive release focused on building systems as the subject of the model itself.

“Building Systems” sits within the LEGO Exclusive theme, a placement used for models that are not necessarily part of a continuing story line or licensed setting. The title points to the construction system itself, rather than to a specific scene, vehicle, character group, or external franchise.

It is best understood as a build and display model whose subject is connected to the idea of LEGO construction.

This makes the set most relevant to collectors and builders interested in exclusive releases and the material culture of LEGO bricks.
