LEGO City 60098 Heavy-Haul Train

LEGO set 60098, Heavy-Haul Train, depicts a heavy freight train within the City theme and the Trains subtheme. Released in 2015, it contains 984 pieces and presents an urban rail scene focused on cargo work, construction staff, and train operations.

Heavy-Haul Train belongs to the LEGO City train range, with a subject centered on freight rather than passenger service. The model places rail transport within a working city environment, linking trains with construction activity, handling tasks, and operational staff.

The set contains 984 pieces and 5 minifigures. The lineup includes a female construction worker with a safety jacket over a hoodie, a construction worker with an orange safety vest and safety glasses, two train workers wearing safety vests with a train logo, and a man in blue overalls with a red hard hat, stubble, and a scar. This selection gives the model a clear worksite and railway service context.

It suits builders who want a freight train presence in a LEGO City layout, whether for play, display, or a train focused collection. Within the Trains subtheme, it is best understood as an industrial City set, supported by a crew that reflects loading, safety, and rail operations.
