LEGO City set 60120, Volcano Starter Set, depicts a small volcanic exploration scene. Released in 2016, it belongs to the City theme and includes 83 pieces built around a team of 4 specialized minifigures.

Volcano Starter Set sits within the LEGO City theme and presents a field team working in a volcanic exploration setting. Its subject fits the City approach to everyday roles, services and applied science, using a compact scene rather than a licensed story or character property.

The set contains 83 pieces and 4 minifigures. The lineup consists of a male volcano explorer in an olive green jumpsuit with straps, white hard hat with visor and breathing apparatus, a male volcano explorer with olive green shirt, sand blue legs, dark tan cap and stubble, a female volcano explorer in an olive green jumpsuit with straps, white hard hat with visor, breathing apparatus and air tanks, and a female scientist with an open white lab coat, sand blue legs, reddish brown hair and glasses. The build is modest in scale and primarily supports the team based scenario.

It is suited to role play, small display scenes and filling out a LEGO City research area. Among City sets, it works as a personnel focused companion rather than a large standalone location. Collectors may value it for the clearly themed group of minifigures and for its place in City exploration subsettings.
