LEGO Ninjago set 71702, Golden Mech, was released in 2020 and represents the golden mech associated with Lloyd. It belongs to the Ninjago theme and uses 489 pieces to build a character driven scene involving the Stone Army.

Golden Mech revisits a recognizable subject from the Ninjago universe through the Legacy approach. Set 71702 focuses on Lloyd’s golden mech and places it in a conflict setting with allies and enemies drawn directly from the Ninjago theme.

The main build is a large gold colored mech, providing the central model for display and for action scenes with the included figures.

Within the theme, it is best understood alongside other Legacy releases, where familiar characters, enemies and story elements are rebuilt for a later wave.
