LEGO set 71712, Empire Temple of Madness, depicts a temple setting from the digital side of Ninjago. Released in 2020, it belongs to the Ninjago theme and contains 820 pieces for a build focused on the Empire conflict.

Empire Temple of Madness places set 71712 within the Ninjago storyline associated with the Empire and its opponents. The model is a temple setting rather than a vehicle, giving the included characters a fixed location for confrontations between the Digi ninja and the forces connected to that part of the theme.

The set includes 820 pieces and 6 minifigures: Lloyd / Digi Lloyd - Katana Holders, Jay / Digi Jay with Shoulder Armor, Unagami with Trans-Neon Orange Base, Sushimi, Cole / Digi Cole with Scabbard and Red Visor. The character selection covers both sides of the conflict, so the build can be used as a self-contained scene for play or display.

This set is suited to Ninjago collectors who want a location-based model from the Empire storyline, as well as builders who prefer architectural scenery to vehicles. Within the wider theme, it sits among narrative playsets that provide a backdrop for minifigure interaction and help connect character-focused scenes in a collection.
