LEGO Ferrari: every set sorted by size and era, Technic to Racers

Deep dive 11 min read By the Setobrick team

The best LEGO Ferrari depends on size. For a flagship, buy the Technic 42143 Ferrari Daytona SP3 with 3,778 parts. For a shelf of cars, Speed Champions wins, at 167 to 339 parts. Older Racers from 2004 to 2009 are the nostalgic route. Our database lists 50 sets, so here is the sorting.

The Daytona SP3 is the one LEGO Ferrari that takes over a room

Set 42143 Ferrari Daytona SP3 is the largest Ferrari in our database: 3,778 parts, Technic, 2022, no minifigures. Brickset lists it on sale from June 2022 to July 2026. Its launch retail price was $449.99 / £389.99. Every price we quote is a launch retail price from Brickset, never a current one.

The scale is hard to overstate. The next biggest Ferrari, 42125 Ferrari 488 GTE "AF Corse #51", has 1,684 parts. The gap is about 2,100 parts. Against the biggest Racers set, 8653 Enzo Ferrari 1:10 with 1,360 parts, the gap is about 2,400.

We would not call it a first Ferrari. It is a project for someone who already knows they like long Technic builds. Its sale window closed in July 2026 according to Brickset, so do not plan around finding it at launch conditions.

Technic offers four more Ferraris at very different sizes

Below the Daytona, Technic splits into big and mid-size. 42125 Ferrari 488 GTE "AF Corse #51" came out in 2021 with 1,684 parts and a launch retail price of $199.99 / £169.99. Brickset gives it a sale window from January 2021 to December 2023.

42207 Ferrari SF-24 F1 Car arrived in March 2025 with 1,361 parts. It launched at $229.99 / £199.99, which is more than the GTE despite fewer parts. No end date is recorded in our database. If you want a Formula 1 car on the shelf and a serious build, this is the current answer.

The two smaller Technic cars are close twins. 42212 Ferrari FXX K has 897 parts, a launch retail price of $64.99 / £54.99 and a start in August 2025. 42235 Ferrari 488 PISTA Car has 882 parts, launched at $64.99 / £59.99 and started in August 2026. Neither has an end date in our database. They are the cheapest way into Technic Ferrari, and the part counts are almost identical, so choose on the car you prefer.

Speed Champions is where most fans should start

The current Speed Champions cars sit between 275 and 339 parts, each with one minifigure. 77254 Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale Sports Car (2026, 339 parts) launched at $27.99 / £22.99. 77261 Ferrari 499P (329 parts) started in June 2026 at $29.99 / £22.99. Both have no announced end.

76934 Ferrari F40 Supercar has 325 parts and launched in 2024 at $26.99 / £20.99. Brickset ends its sale window in July 2026. 77242 Ferrari SF-24 F1 Race Car has 275 parts and a launch retail price of $26.99 / £22.99. Its sale end is announced for December 2026, which is the only end date still ahead of us.

Why this range? The parts-to-shelf-space ratio is hard to beat. You get a recognisable car, a driver and a build that is finished in a sitting, and you can line up several without clearing a cabinet. For a first LEGO Ferrari, this is our default advice.

Older Speed Champions cars grew from 167 parts to nearly 300

The line started small. 75899 LaFerrari (2015) has 167 parts and launched at $14.99 / £12.99. 75879 Scuderia Ferrari SF16-H (2017) has 184 parts, 75886 Ferrari 488 GT3 "Scuderia Corsa" (2018) has 186 and 75890 Ferrari F40 Competizione (2019) has 200. All four launched at $14.99 / £12.99.

Then the size moved up. 76895 Ferrari F8 Tributo (2020) has 278 parts and launched at $19.99 / £17.99. 76906 1970 Ferrari 512 M (2022) has 291 parts and $19.99 / £19.99. 76914 Ferrari 812 Competizione (2023) has 264 parts and $24.99 / £19.99. Brickset ends the sale window of the 812 in December 2024 and of the 512 M in December 2024 as well.

The older cars are fine on a shelf next to the new ones, but they are plainly simpler. If detail matters to you, start with the 2024 to 2026 generation.

Speed Champions sets with garages and trucks go back to 2015

Some Speed Champions Ferraris are scenes, not single cars. 75913 F14 T & Scuderia Ferrari Truck (2015) has 892 parts and six minifigures. Its launch retail price was $99.99 / £79.99. 75889 Ferrari Ultimate Garage (2018) has 856 parts and seven minifigures, at $99.99 / £89.99.

75882 Ferrari FXX K & Development Center (2017) is the smaller one: 497 parts, four minifigures, $49.99 / £44.99. All three have sale windows that ended by 2019 according to Brickset. They are the best answer if you want a Ferrari world with people in it.

In a different theme, 60443 F1 Pit Stop & Pit Crew with Ferrari Car (City, 2025) has 322 parts and five minifigures. Its launch retail price was $29.99 / £24.99. It is a pit stop toy at heart, but it is the cheapest route to a crew of five.

Racers from 2004 to 2009 are big, loud and very nostalgic

Racers is the era of oversized Ferraris. 8653 Enzo Ferrari 1:10 (2005) has 1,360 parts and launched at $100.00 / £79.99. 8145 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano 1:10 (2007) has 1,326 parts. 8674 Ferrari F1 Racer 1:8 (2006) has 1,246 parts and the highest Racers launch price in our database, $139.99 / £99.99.

The Formula 1 line continues with 8157 Ferrari F1 1:9 (2008, 997 parts, $89.99 / £73.39) and 8386 Ferrari F1 Racer 1:10 (2004, 719 parts, $70.00 / £49.99). Compare the Racers numbers with current Technic: 42212 Ferrari FXX K has 897 parts at $64.99. Technic has the parts, Racers has the presence.

The Racers range also contains the tidy sets with people. 8654 Scuderia Ferrari Truck has 823 parts and three minifigures. 8144 Ferrari 248 F1 Team has 732 parts and seven. 8672 Ferrari Finish Line has 579 parts and eight. 8185 Ferrari Truck has 539 parts and four.

The smaller 1:17 cars are 8143 Ferrari 1:17 F430 Challenge (690 parts), 8156 Ferrari FXX 1:17 (626), 8671 Ferrari 430 Spider 1:17 (559) and 8652 Enzo Ferrari 1:17 (478). 8155 Ferrari F1 Pit 1:55 has 482 parts. These are the shelf fillers of the era.

Creator, Model Team and the collector editions fill the gaps

10248 Ferrari F40 is a Creator set from 2015 with 1,158 parts and a launch retail price of $99.99 / £74.99. Brickset gives it a sale window from August 2015 to December 2017. It is the middle size Ferrari that Speed Champions and Technic do not currently offer.

2556 Ferrari Formula 1 Racing Car is the oldest in our database: Model Team, 1997, 580 parts. Our database carries no launch price for it.

The newest category is display pieces. 43014 Scuderia Ferrari HP Charles Leclerc Helmet (886 parts) and 43022 Scuderia Ferrari HP Lewis Hamilton Helmet (884 parts) are Editions sets from May 2026, each with one minifigure and a launch retail price of $89.99 / £79.99. 11375 Ferrari F2004 & Michael Schumacher (Icons, March 2026, 735 parts, one minifigure) has the same launch price. None has an end date in our database.

Launch retail price follows the part count only loosely. The Daytona SP3 is the extreme case. Garage and truck sets cost more per car than a single Speed Champions model.

Choose by shelf space first and by era second

Want a centrepiece and have the patience? Take 42143 Ferrari Daytona SP3 if you can find it, or 42125 Ferrari 488 GTE "AF Corse #51" for a big Technic build with a smaller footprint. For Formula 1, 42207 Ferrari SF-24 F1 Car is the Technic pick.

Want a mid-size Technic car? 42212 Ferrari FXX K and 42235 Ferrari 488 PISTA Car sit at 897 and 882 parts. Want a Ferrari you can finish quickly? Pick from 77254, 77261 or 76934. Want a bargain of a different kind, a tiny gift? 30709 Ferrari 499P - Hypercar is a 62-part Speed Champions set that launched at $4.99 and was on sale from March 2025 to December 2025. Our database also lists 30190 Ferrari 150° Italia, a promotional set with just 34 parts.

Collectors who care about history should look at the Racers era, and in particular 8653 Enzo Ferrari 1:10 and 8674 Ferrari F1 Racer 1:8. Those who prefer a personality to a car have the Leclerc and Hamilton helmets, and 11375 Ferrari F2004 & Michael Schumacher.

Our take

The LEGO Ferrari range is better than most car licences because it has a size for every shelf. Speed Champions is the sensible default. Technic is where the ambition is, and 42143 Ferrari Daytona SP3 remains the set that justifies the whole line. We are less taken with the garages and trucks: the 2015 and 2018 sets are fun but add little beyond a scene. Racers deserve more respect than their age suggests.
